Software I've hoarded over the years and grown to like better than every other option:

• Rufus - bootable USB stick creator / works with every ISO i've thrown at it
• Everything - better search for windows
• Bluescreenview - .dmp file viewer, for troubleshooting blue screens
• Crystaldiskinfo - hard drive health checker
• Display Driver Uninstaller - fully wipes GPU drivers for reinstalling or switching graphics cards
• Filezilla - the FTP client
• Hotswap! - supposed to park SATA drive heads and remove them safely while running. I don't trust it much but I'd like to believe it works
• SpaceSniffer - shows a drive's storage as blocks in an easy-to-navigate view, good for finding large unneded folders to delete
